Northern Ireland Environment Link
The Northern Ireland Environment Link (NIEL) is the networking and forum body for organisations interested in the natural and built environment of Northern Ireland.
The NIEL Vision is “A valued, resilient, healthy environment.”
The mission is “to be a collective voice promoting the importance of environmental issues through influencing policy and developing partnerships for a healthy environment.”
NIEL is a charity and as such has key charitable objectives:
- Advance, for public benefit, environmental conservation, protection, improvement and sustainability.
- Raise awareness of environmental issues by providing a forum for exchange of ideas and promoting a collective voice
- Advance the education of all sections of the public in environmental and ecological science
NIEL is the host organisation for Landscapes NI staff and work programme.
